Tutorial: Twisted 1x1 Ribbed LongTail Tubular CO
Просмотров 2 тыс.6 лет назад
This starts with a slip knot that represents the first knit stitch in the Cast-on. Beginners should use straight needles for the first few steps of this cast-on, then transfer their work to circular needles when it is time. If you plan to use Double Pointed Needles, I'd first CO using straight needles, then transfer your work to DPNs just before joining in the round. It is a gorgeous cast-on, a...

Seriously? You need to pull this video and leave the teaching up to experienced knitters.
How did you watch this video and think it was helpful? We don't see your hands in action most the time.
Where you get the wood piece?
Cool
How cold
Hi Nin, I so often I think about the knit together zoom time. You the only one I ever did it that way. That is why it was a special time.
Great video just wondering what kind of needles you are using
does this work on 2x1 rib?
I did hear you ..don’t worry, it was fine🤗👍🏻😂
is this tutorial?
Way too fiddly to do it that way. This video is a far easier way to accomplish the exact same thing: ruclips.net/video/qzx_sb4Y9Mk/видео.html
So nice to see after the knit a long! Still very good friend with Karen I met trough you.
This is a little treasure trove of information in these videos, and I plan to watch them all.
Thank you!
Great video! I need to master this technique, Thank you Nin 🙋🏻
Great video, I need to master this technique 👍🏻
Thanks so very much to do it knit along I wish I could see it a bit closer ❤️I’m a subbi now
That looks like the Siri Sweater pattern!
Wow. Didn't know there were different kinds of knitting.😊 Just learning. Can see there's a lot to learn.😊
Nin, That was Brilliant, worked out perfectly. Instead of putting knit sts on a dpn, I used another circular which made it easier for me. I am grateful and appreciate your video tutorials. Thank you so much.
Thanks Sue! Love your idea of using another set of circular needles!
Is there a pattern available? I can't find a link. Thanks, it looks like a great knit along!
Is this the start of the actual project or making the swatch?Could you make a short video on the tutorial for the swatch, the instructions are confusing to me
Thanks! I now can subscribe but it's going to be in my husband's name...So Mike is actually Pat!
Doesn't look very good and is not stretchy. Easy enough if one can do Kitchener stitch.
Hi Katie, when you tried it, did yours seem not stretchy enough or messy? Just as in knitting, with this bind off there is a "tension" element to it. Too loose, it will look sloppy, too tight, it warps the garment's edge. Like with all new knitting techniques, it might require some practice to get it the way you want it to look. I agree with you, brushing up on your Kitchener stitch definitely helps! The red cowl I worked this on was quite a few stitches, but after I blocked it, it looks fabulous! It is very hard to tell which end was the cast on! :)
How do you do the last stitch if you're not knitting circular (no starting stitch to join to)? Did you start the first stitch the way you did because it's circular or you do it the same way if the knitting is flat?
